In the face of new, extremely complex, and varied social needs it is necessary to provide, also as far as services to early childhood, a variety of answers to the needs of children and families.
Emilia-Romagna provides a system of high quality services tailored to the specific needs of, however still not sufficient to satisfy the growing demand.
In accordance with the region’s act L.n°-April 2004, the Municipality of Parma in collaboration with ParmaInfanzia S.p.A. intends to make available the position of family instructor and home instructor.

The use of this terminology is not accidental: it means to define precise features of a new professional role which is intended for the education of children in a space and in a set of relations different from that of the infant- toddler center: the house of the child or the house provided by the instructor.

The family male instructor
Families interested and eligible get together, also with the assistance of ParmaInfanzia, creating groups of 3 children; the service is rendered in the home of one of these, with the continuous presence of an instructor and can have a maximum duration of 38 hours per week.

The family female instructor
The families interested and eligible will be able to choose among the homes put at their disposal by the management of the service, each of these can have up to a maximum of 5 children. The service is of 38 hours per week.

The female instructors
In both services is present a female instructor with the same education qualifications required to teach in an infant toddler center and who has attended specific professional development courses.

ParmaInfanzia guarantees teaching experts and organization supervision to support and follow children and their families also in end of year and middle year assessment meetings
